There’s a bit more than that in terms of the technical stuff, but anyone going from Rev2 to Strive will feel these differences first. Ram still can loop Dauro for a bit and Sol still has his Dustloop. Some characters still have their typical juggles though. There’s is juggling in this game, but it’s much more technical than before, a little closer to Street Fighter in that sense, as there are few chances to jump cancel and you have to usually use a special or roman cancel to keep the combo going.

I believe you can also gatling kick into 2D for a sweep, and most normals can be canceled into specials. You can only gatling from close Slash, to far Slash, to Heavy Slash for most characters.

Strive has very limited combo routes now, at least they were limited going by my skill level and experience with this game and previous Guilty Gear titles. sorry for rambling lmfao i just care about the Beast the boy's okay now, he's happy, and zato's treating him like a little dude now instead of just a weapon. but mostly i think just how dark and bleak of a character he is then makes his calm and happy and silly attitude in xrd and ggst kinda heartwarming. but i think the best part to it all is that eddie in GGXX and accent core is a completely different beast being panicked and existential, and that the interactions he has in that state are stuff i'd love to see expanded on. i also love that their gameplay even reflects their characters with zato sitting back and being less physically active while eddie's everywhere and everything. i think eddie's both really good on his own and EXTREMELY good paired with zato, the way they bounce off eachother but still clearly get along and genuinely care about eachother is really sweet especially since zato as he is now doesn't really. Eddie is a little guy i post about a lot but im always willing to say more.
